The FASFC may call upon  private veterinarians (veterinarians with assignment) to fulfill special assignments.

The tasks these veterinarians must perform are laid down in several agreements. These agreements  consist of a framework agreement, an Annex to the Royal decree of 20/12/2004 laying down general provisions on the  assignments performed for the Agency by private veterinarians, and one or more additional implementation agreements and attached specifications laying down particular implementation requirements and including a description of the assignments
