The Scientific Committee occupies a central position in the risk evaluation of the food chain. The Committee is composed of scientific experts in this field. If necessary, it can make an appeal to a network of experts if very specific problems arise.

Our task is to preserve the safety of the food chain and the quality of food in order to protect the health of humans, animals and plants.
